They VERY generously donate all proceeds from the sale to The Retired Professional Fire Fighters Cancer Fund. We in turn donate 100% of those funds to established, promising cancer research. 4th Alarm Box 342 Codman Sq 01/18/18 - Boston Fire Fighters
On Tuesday January 16, 2018 at 9:18 a.m.Boston Fire Alarm recieved a call from 573 Washington Street in the Dorchester section of the city reporting a fire in the basement of a business. Box 342 Codman Sq was transmitted, engine 18 and Ladder 6 found a fire in the basement of a taxpayer. Eventually going to 4 alarms.
Update on Senate Bill 75 01/17/18 - IAFF Local 4416
This morning SB75, a bill concerning certain benefit changes in the 1977 Police and Firefighters Pension and Disability Fund, was heard in Senate Committee on Pensions and Labor. The bill passed out of committee with an amendment. The bill as amended sends it to the Pension Management Oversight Committee (PMOC) for further study this summer.

This week myself, President Vick, and VP Whaley attended the 2018 VPFF Legislative Conference. The short and sweet of it is this...the VPFF and Locals around the state are putting 100% of our legislative efforts into getting our Cancer Presumption bills passed this session.
Firefighter Boot Display 01/17/18 - IAFF Local 1403
Attention Firefighters, On Wednesday February 21st Florida Firefighters along with Firefighter Cancer Presumption Coalition will line the steps of the Capital in Tallahassee with pairs of fire boots to honor firefighters we have lost to Cancer. Each pair of boots will represent a brother or sister who lost their battle. If you would like to honor a firefighter who has fallen from cancer please contact us at the office so we can get you involved.

We are back 01/17/18 - Taylor Professional Fire Fighters
The Taylor fire department resumed transporting November 15th 2017. Six years have past since transporting was stopped. Tfd ended 2017 with 8802 runs and with the increase run volume that transporting will bring we expect to have well over 10,000 in 2018. We are happy to have the chance to provide premium patient care from the time you call until the time you arrive at the hospital.
2017 Total Number of Runs 01/16/18 - New London Fire Fighters
The New London Fire Department closed out 2017 with 7,363 total emergencies. This was an increase from last year. A job very well done by the NLFD.

Sunday January 14, 2017 Boston Fire Alarm began receiving calls for a building fire at 14 Evelyn Street in the Mattapan section of the city.Engine 52 first due reported fire showing floor 2 of a 3 story wood. Car 8 arrived on scene and ordered a second alarm.

Nice weather and the spirit of giving during the Holiday Season resulted in another successful year of bell ringing for St. Paul Fire on behalf of the Salvation Army. Ringers at various events and locations in St. Paul brought in a total of $11,832.28 between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Captain Promotion 01/09/18 - IAFF Local 801
Congratulations to the DFD's newest captain Bart McCleary - who was promoted from Lieutenant to Captain in a swearing-in ceremony held on Monday January 8, 2017 at City Hall. Captain McCleary has served the City Fire Department and been an active member of Local 801 since July 1987. Captain McCleary will move from C Group to the truck company on D Group.
