    Legal Fees Committee Proposed C&BL Change #1 Section V Legal Assistance Upon submitting proper application to the President of this Association by any affiliated local union, after approval by such local union’s membership and the District Vice-President, Local affiliates may seek legal assistance from the Association. This State Association, through its Executive Board and in accordance with adopted Policy of this Association will render all reasonable and possible assistance within its financial capabilities in the handling of local disputes and grievances concerning the violation of State Laws. Any request for financial assistance from any local or member in good standing must be submitted to the Executive Board for approval, with a cap of $10,000. Any additional funds must be approved by 6 affirmative votes of the Executive Board. The first $5,000 shall be the responsibility of the requesting local before the PFFALA will assist with the next $10,000. Should the local not have the ability to pay the first $5,000 the PFFALA MAY offer a no interest loan to assist said local with the approval of the Executive Board. Subsequent funds shall follow with $5,000 of each $10,000 in legal cost coming from the local
